Orthopaedic Surgery
 Dr. Wessinger practices general orthopedics and musculoskeletal medicine including fracture care, arthritis care and general
pediatrics. Dr. Wessinger is a native South Carolinian who was born and raised in Columbia. He attended and graduated from
Furman University in Greenville and completed his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
His internship in General Surgery and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery was completed at Wake Forest University Medical Center
in Winston-Salem, NC. He was part of the Wake Forest University Sports Medicine Unit as a resident physician in 1992 and 1993.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His special interests include Sports Medicine and Adult
Reconstructive Surgery.
